WHAT: 2007 Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships

America’s best divers will be competing for national titles in the 1-meter springboard, 3-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, synchronized 3-meter springboard and synchronized 10-meter platform events. The competition will also be open to top international divers. Divers were invited to participate in the semifinal rounds of the Speedo Spring Nationals based on performances at previous competitions. Additional divers may participate in the preliminary rounds and attempt to qualify through to the semifinal and final rounds. Results from the Speedo Spring Nationals will be used to select the USA Diving National Team that competes in international Grand Prix events in Italy, Spain and the USA. In addition, results from the Speedo Spring Nationals will be used to select divers that will represent the USA in the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand.

Athletes scheduled to participate include: 2000 Olympic platform gold medalist and 2005 world platform champion Laura Wilkinson (Spring, Texas), 2004 Olympians Cassandra Cardinell (Loudonville, N.Y.) Troy Dumais (Austin, Texas) and Justin Wilcock (Smithfield, Utah), 2006 U.S. national champions David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.), Allison Brennan (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Chris Colwill (Brandon, FL) and Jessica Livingston (The Woodlands, Texas).
