Colwill and Sacchin were involved in a tight contest for the bronze medal throughout the competition. Just 4.15 points separated the divers with just two rounds to go, but Sacchin was able to maintain the lead.

“I figured it would be a battle judging by his performance in the semifinal. I wish I could have done a little better,” Colwill said. “But I’m going to move on start thinking about 3-meter. I’m ready to do it now.”

The 3-meter preliminaries start at 10 a.m. Thursday.
