USA Diving announces new membership cycle

In an effort to better serve its members, USA Diving has changed its membership cycle. The new membership period will run from September 1-August 31. This will provide memberships that coincide with the diving season, as opposed to the former membership cycle, which was based on the calendar year. All membership types will shift to the September-August cycle, effective August 1, 2008.

Memberships purchased September 1-July 31 will be valid until August 31. The early sign-up period begins on August 1, so any membership purchased during the month of August will also be valid until August 31 of the following year.

To assist with this transition into the new cycle, current USA Diving members will have the opportunity to renew their membership based on a one-time prorated price. Only current members as of July 31, 2008 will be eligible for the prorated price (see below).

• For CURRENT USA DIVING MEMBERS (AS OF JULY 31, 2008) Members who renew between August 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008, a prorated membership price will be offered. (Note: members must click the renew membership link to be eligible for this pricing) Prorated pricing below:

• Competitive Gold Membership ($50)
• Competitive Blue Membership ($13.33)
• Limited Athlete Membership ($8)
• Non-Competitive Membership ($33.33)
• Coach Membership ($83.33)
• Judges/Officials Membership ($50)
• Club Membership ($83.33)

• For individuals and clubs who register before August 1, 2008, the expiration date of membership will be December 31, 2008, unless they renew their membership between August 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008, as noted above.

• For NEW members who register between August 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009, membership is valid until August 31, 2009.

• Any memberships purchased or renewed after December 31, 2008 will be at the standard membership price. Standard pricing as follows:

• Competitive Gold Membership ($75)
• Competitive Blue Membership ($20)
• Limited Athlete Membership ($12)
• Non-Competitive Membership ($50)
• Coach Membership ($125)
• Judges/Officials Membership ($75)
• Club Membership ($125)
