Laura Wilkinson to appear on NBC's Today Show to commemorate the one-year countdown to Beijing
 
Laura Wilkinson, fresh off a dominating performance at last week's Kaiser Permanente National Championships, will be among the Olympians scheduled to appear on NBC's Today Show on Wednesday, August 8 to mark the official one-year-out date for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Wilkinson, along with fellow Olympians Natalie Coughlin (swimming), Paul Hamm (gymnastics) and Kate Ziegler (swimming), as well as other 2008 U.S. Olympic hopefuls, will appear at the NBC Experience Store in New York City Wednesday for an autograph signing and press event, following interviews on the Today Show. Their Today Show appearance will include a specially-constructed swimming pool in the Today Show Plaza, a remote interview with swimmer Michael Phelps from Beijing, audience giveaways and taped segments with Meredith Vieira from Beijing.
