Dumais/Richeson take fifth again  

NANJING, CHINA – For the third time in the World Series, Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif.) and Mitch Richeson (Greenwood, Ind.) took fifth in the men's synchronized 3-meter event.

This time, they scored 395.43 points, their highest point total of the three-week World Series.

World Champions Qin Kai and Wang Feng of China completed their Series sweep with 471.45 points, while Cubans Jorge Betancourt and Erick Fornaris scored 424.68 points for silver. Canadians Alexandre Despatie and Arturo Miranda, who won the silver at the previous two stops on the Series, finished with 411.06 points for bronze in leg three.

Nancilea Foster (Spring, Texas) competed individually on 3-meter event, narrowly missing out on a chance for another medal. After winning bronze in Mexico, Foster scored 327.75 points to place third in her semifinal in China. She was less than four points from advancing to the finals for the second consecutive week (Only the top two advance from each semi). Her score ended up earning fifth place.

The World Series was a new FINA event that featured the top divers from the 2007 World Championships competing head-to-head over three consecutive weekends. The top eight divers on individual Olympic events and the top six synchronized diving teams from the World Championships were invited.

The U.S. concluded the Series with three bronze medals. David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.) and Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis, Ind.) medaled in 10-meter synchro in England and China, and Foster added a bronze on 3-meter in Mexico.
