Junior Pan American Championships Team earns third place in USOC monthly award
USA Diving's Junior Pan American Championships Team was honored with third place in the USOC's Team of the Month award for November.
The Junior Pan American Championships team won 30 medals -- 10 more than any other country -- to win the overall team title at the November 1-4 competition in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The U.S. claimed half of all gold medals, winning 13 of 26 events. In addition, U.S. divers also won eight silver and nine bronze medals.
Drew Livingston (The Woodlands, Texas) won gold in all three of his events, and Kaylea Arnett (Spring, Texas), Sarah Bacon (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Kristian Ipsen (Clayton, Calif.) each won two golds.
The USA Baseball team that won the gold medal at the 37th International Baseball Federation Baseball World Cup was honored as the USOC's Team of the Month. Second place went to the U.S. Davis Cup Tennis Team for winning the first title for the U.S. since 1995.
Gymnast Mattie Larson and swimmer Ryan Lochte were honored as the USOC's Athletes of the Month.
