Divers 18 years of age and under compete in USD's Junior program. The youth are busy from March through August diving in region, zone and national-level events.

The fun begins in the spring with 10 region championships. From there, divers qualify to the East or West Junior National Diving Championships. In July, the competition picks up again with 10 additional regional championships, with athletes qualifying to five zone championships and then the Speedo National Junior Diving Championships.

During their "down time," junior divers also compete in association meets and events organized by local clubs.
