Alik joined USD as the director of the Oklahoma City Regional Training Center in 2001. Prior to becoming a member of the national office team, Alik was the head coach of Trojan Dive Club (1998-2001) and the assistant coach for Rose Bowl Aquatics (1993-1998).

Alike is a graduate of Armenia's Institute Physical Culture. He built the RTC in Oklahoma City and is continuing the development of the new program and the production of future Olympians.

A former USSR competitive diver, Alik is a 13-time Armenian national champion and served as the Armenian National Team coach at the 1996 Olympic Games.

Alik and his wife, Alisa, are the parents of one daughter, Alena, and one son, Arsen.

Alik enjoys music, all types of movies, gardening and grilling mouthwatering Armenian barbecue.
