Irene joined USD as the business manager in 1981. Prior to becoming a member of the national office team, Irene was employed by the AAU.

A graduate of Indiana University, Irene and her husband live in Indianapolis. She is the mother of one daughter and has two grandsons.

Irene enjoys gardening and reading.
