Biography

Bianca is the daughter of Jorge and Sallie Alvarez and has a younger brother, Eric. She plans to attend the University of South Florida for one-year masters program in medical sciences before pursuing medical school in 2013 (she would like to become a surgeon). While at Ohio State, she conducted research on schizophrenia with Dr. John Bruno.

She has had more than 30 MRIs and x-rays. She started diving in 2002 and in 2012 has benefited by doing a lot more visualization and mental training. An NCAA All-American, she was named the 2012 Big Ten Diver of the Year after winning both springboard events at the Big Ten Championships. Her favorite dive is 107B.

Bianca loves discovering new music, and her favorite TV show is Friends (She has seen every episode of every season at least 8 times).
