Biography
Cassidy is the daughter of Julian and Dorothy Krug. She has a younger brother, Kyle, and both of her parents are diving coaches. (Her dad is the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh, and her mom coaches at the Pitt Aquatic Club.) Because her parents are coaches, Cassidy has been involved in diving her entire life. She stopped diving after the 2008 Olympic Trials but decided after a year that she missed the sport and returned for the 2010 season. She was a gymnast for 12 years (she quit when she was 15), and her favorite dive is 405B. Cassidy listens to music between dives, and enjoys reading, writing, journaling and exercise. She also loves to travel and likes to try new places, foods and activities. She worked as a runner for NBC at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. After graduating from Stanford, she worked for her alma mater’s Alumni Association. Cassidy’s favorite movie is Wizard of Oz.
