Biography
Chris is the son of Steve and Lisa Heaton. He has a younger sister, Jennifer. He started diving when he was 12, and today he trains 40 hours a week. He says the hardest part is finding a way to make every practice better even when he might be exhausted. His favorite dive is 407c.
Chris loves to eat and says he can eat more in one sitting than most can in two to three. Before competition, he usually eats a protein bar or peanut butter sandwich. But away from competition, his favorite meal is any type of all-you-can-eat buffet, or anything else he knows he probably shouldn’t have during the season. Chris also enjoys wakeboarding, card games, snow skiing, racquetball and reading. He’s very active with his church and is related to the Wright brothers. He likes to listen to rap/hip-hop and Christian music during competition. Chris describes himself as passionate, intense and encouraging. When he isn’t diving, he works as a financial coach.
