Ariel is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Rittenhouse and has four siblings, Robbie, Ivan, Ryan and Myra. Ariel started diving at the age of 7 and comes from a family of Olympians. Her mother was an Olympic swimmer in 1964 and her uncle was an Olympic diver in 1972. Ariel enjoys dancing, surfing and reading, and her favorite diver is Paola Espinosa. After graduating from FSU, Ariel moved back home to California and began training with Oleg Andriyuk. Her favorite dive is a 5152B on 3-meter.
