Biography

Thomas is the son of Thomas and Audrey Finchum. He comes from an athletic family. His dad is a high school athletic director and basketball coach. His brother, Luke, was a catcher on the baseball team at Concordia University Wisconsin and now coaches junior high boys basketball, and his sister, Lindsay, is a former level 10 gymnast and Indiana state champion. Thomas became interested in diving after his paternal grandmother, Barbara Whiteside (a former city parks diver), noticed him jumping off houseboats on family trips. She started giving him pointers and encouraged his parents to sign him up for formal diving lessons. Today, he trains six hours a day, six days a week. Thomas also enjoys music, computers and movies. He is the lead singer in country band Northern Nights.
