Transylvania University invites qualified applicants for the part-time position of Diving Coach. Position reports to the Head Swimming and Diving Coach. The candidate selected will coordinate and organize practice (pool and ropes) sessions, assist the head coach with recruiting prospective student-athletes, and mentoring and advising student-athletes. He/she must show initiative, possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate responsibility, and exhibit good communication skills.
Collegiate playing experience required and previous collegiate coaching preferred. A commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy and knowledge of NCAA rules is essential. Must be able to demonstrate ability to recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes.
Qualifications: This part-time position (early October through February) reports to and works directly with the head swimming and diving coach. Anticipated hours are 20 hours per week and a start date in early October.

- Assist with guidance and management of student athletes (SA’s) on a day-to-day basis
- Assist in management and monitoring of SA’s academic standing
- Assist in organization, advertising, soliciting, setup and operation of fundraising including camps & clinics and community service projects

Ohio State Diving Club – Assistant Coach (Posted 9/7/15)
The Office of Student Life’s Department of Recreational Sports, Ohio State Diving Club is seeking a full-time Assistant Team Coach. The Assistant Dive Coach reports to the Head Dive Coach and leads divers in stretching, dry land exercises, water sessions, and team meetings; develops daily individual workouts that follow a systematic progression as developed by the head coach; stays in constant daily communication with the head coach regarding divers’ development and how best to progress each individual diver; takes advantage of video analysis capabilities provided by the club to better each individual athlete; assists head coach with the coordination of annual and seasonal goals for training groups, administrative duties and communication with the team; acts as liaison with divers and families about past performances and informs families about upcoming events; coordinates practice attendance chart for divers; actively recruits while maintaining good relations with area high schools, coaches and programs; encourage divers through verbal communication; helps diver’s see the overall plan and vision for them as individuals and as a member of the team and how each practice will help achieve set goals; uses allotted time before or after practice to communicate with parents off the pool deck; requires successful completion of Student Life background check and successful completion of background screen through USA Diving. Mission Viejo Nadadores – High Performance Director (Posted 8/24/15)
The Mission Viejo Nadadores Dive Team began in 1977 and developed an unprecedented record of success. MVND has produced eight Olympians including Greg Louganis, Michele Mitchell, and Wendy Wyland and has won 48 National Championships, making it the only team ever to sweep all four World Championships in one year.
MVND currently seeks an experienced coach with extensive background in National and International competition for the High Performance Director position. Responsibilities include managing a JO and Olympic caliber team representing all groups and skill levels.
Candidate supervises the coaching staff to establish workouts and training plans for all diving levels. Requirements include mentoring assistant coaches, establishing dry land workouts, belt spotting, hand spotting for platform, performance evaluation utilizing video analysis, individual goal setting and progression of each diver.
Candidate manages team administration and communication, team meetings, parties, scheduling, season calendaring, maintenance and management of equipment and coordination of rosters and billing.
Requirements also include conducting annual parent meetings to communicate training expectations, philosophies and volunteer requirements. Attendance is expected at MVN Foundation, MVN Dive Committee and MV City meetings as well as marketing duties associated with representing a nationally recognized team.
