Mission Viejo Nadadores -  High Performance Director (Posted 3/23/15)

The Mission Viejo Nadadores Dive Team began in 1977 and developed an unprecedented record of success. MVND has produced eight Olympians including Greg Louganis, Michele Mitchell, and Wendy Wyland and has won 48 National Championships, making it the only team ever to sweep all four World Championships in one year.

MVND currently seeks an experienced coach with extensive background in National and International competition for the High Performance Director position. Responsibilities include managing a JO and Olympic caliber team representing all groups and skill levels.

Candidate supervises the coaching staff to establish workouts and training plans for all diving levels. Requirements include mentoring assistant coaches, establishing dry land workouts, belt spotting, hand spotting for platform, performance evaluation utilizing video analysis, individual goal setting and progression of each diver.

Candidate manages team administration and communication, team meetings, parties, scheduling, season calendaring, maintenance and management of equipment and coordination of rosters and billing.

Requirements also include conducting annual parent meetings to communicate training expectations, philosophies and volunteer requirements. Attendance is expected at MVN Foundation, MVN Dive Committee and MV City meetings as well as marketing duties associated with representing a nationally recognized team.

Dive Seattle — Age Group Coach (posted 3/12/15)

DiveSeattle is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our up-and-coming diving team. We are offering two positions:

1). Summer only: June 21-July 19, 2015 (4 weeks). Needed immediately.

2). Age Group Coach: Begins September 15, 2015 – August, 15, 2016. This position will start out as a part-time hourly position, and for the right candidate, will grow into a permanent, salaried staff position.

Training time is after school and on weekends year-round. During the summer, extra income opportunities will include additional hours, summer camps and clinics. The position starts at approximately 20 hours per week with the option of overseeing our recreational program for additional income and experience. Pay is $20.00 per hour to start growing into a salary cap of $25,000 per year (11 months). Coach can supplement their income coaching high school or other part time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•         Assist in the development of athletes of all age groups and skill levels, including Novice and JO level divers
•         Work with immediate supervisors in developing and administering training programs for the Novice levels, as well as being a back-up support for higher-level programs
•         Administer coaching strategies and be a part in developing and implementing new coaching techniques
•         Will be the first line of support to staff and will be offered extra hours as needed

Position Requirements:
•         Ability to maintain a professional attitude and actions, positive as well as an upbeat enthusiastic demeanor at all times
•         Ability to teach and develop athletes of all age groups and skill levels
•         Ability to belt and hand spot safely at all times.
•         Ability to be flexible, organized, and maintain safety awareness at all times
•         Must have good communication skills and be able to withstand pressure
•         Coaching must be a top priority
•         Ability to develop and implement workouts and training programs, including dryland, using video-analysis, setting goals and monitoring progress
•         Ability to travel and assist at competitions and trips
•         Have reliable transportation

Required Experience:
•         Coaching at the developmental (JO & Novice) level
•         Strong organizational and time management skills
•         Strong teaching and communication skills
•         The ability to act professionally at all times
•         Be computer-friendly and have the ability to learn computer programs and processes

Kansas Athletics, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for a Women’s Diving Coach. Under the direction of the Head Swimming and Diving Coach, the Diving Coach is responsible for all aspects of women’s diving including recruiting, coaching, developing, motivating, and evaluating academically and athletically qualified student-athletes all in compliance with NCAA, Big Twelve, and Kansas Athletics policies and procedures.  The position also is responsible for assisting with the management and direction of all aspects of home meet management for both swimming and diving and assists with program external relations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; a minimum of three years demonstrated success in coaching diving; demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules; proven integrity and leadership skills; ability to teach and motivate student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically; knowledge of Colorado Time Systems, Meet Manager systems, and DiveMeets.com.  Experience as an intercollegiate diver and/or experience coaching at the Division I intercollegiate level is preferred.

Rose Bowl – Assistant Coach (posted 2/24/15)

The Rose Bowl is looking for an individual with coaching experience at the beginner, novice and H.S. levels.  Belt and hand spotting are a part of our training so  spotting experience is important, or must be willing to learn.  The coaching position is working mainly with young novice and H.S. level divers preparing them for the Jr. Olympic to senior levels.  You must be energetic, willing to work with and learn from fellow coaches and have a positive attitude.   This is a great environment to work with talented kids and be a part of a nationally competitive program.  The position is paid hourly, (15 hrs. a week) based on experience.
