Rose Bowl Aquatics – Head Diving Coach (Posted 8/7/14)

We are seeking a coach with a complete dive background, from instruction to high-level competition, and a track record of success. The Head Coach, Dive is responsible for the management of the RBAC Dive Team, a year-round competitive program providing high-quality coaching and instruction to age-group divers of all ages and abilities. This requires the ability to manage other dive coaches to ensure the highest quality instruction, and the ability to travel with the team to competitions. Experience in competitive dive instruction, coaching, and administrative skills are critical. This position also requires fiscal management skills and the responsibility of creating and managing a budget of approximately $150,000.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • At least 7 years of coaching experience, with a strong preference for someone with age-group coaching experience
  • Experience in high-level competition

COM Aquatics – Head Diving Coach (Posted 8/5/14)

COM Aquatics is seeking candidates for Head Diving Coach in Midland, Texas. Midland is in the semi desert of West Texas approximately halfway between Dallas and El Paso. Current participants in our diving program including the very beginners number approximately 300. We are looking to become one of the top Diving Teams in the U.S.

Diving facility includes:
Indoor facility available to the diving team almost 24/7
Towers at 10, 7.5, 5, 3 and 1-meter
Harnesses over 1, 3 and 5-meter
3500 square ft. dryland facility in an enclosed gym immediately behind the diving well available exclusively for the diving team. Dryland facility includes 2 tramps, 3 dry boards, platform, all harnessed
Permanent coaches office.

COM is looking for a highly motivated individual that can coach at the highest level. This candidate:

Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department – Diving Coach (posted 8/1/14)

Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified proposals for a USA Diving Coach at North County Aquatic Complex, a 50 meter facility located Jupiter, Florida.

Background: The Facility is located at 861 Toney Penna Drive, Jupiter, Florida. The Facility opened on December 18, 1992 and is a 50 meter X 25 yard X 25 meter pool with a dive well separated from the main pool by a bulkhead. The pool water is heated and chilled with Geo thermal heat pumps and is open to the public year round. The Facility is equipped with a Daktronics Omni Sport Console and 8 line scoreboard, as well as a dry pit dive training apparatus. The Facility has had a competitive USA Diving program since 1994. The present coaching contract will expire on October 10, 2014. Currently, approximately 40 participants are enrolled in the program. The successful proposer will be an independent contractor with the County. The payment to the contractor will be based on 80% of the fees collected for the program with no benefits offered. Based on the current program, it is estimated that the total payments for the first year will be between $40,000 and $45,000. The County provides the Facility and the coach works directly with the Pool Manager to schedule usage, insure that fees are paid and to resolve issues that may arise. There is an active Parent’s Organization that the coaches is expected to work closely with to raise funds, run meets and handle other items that benefit the program. The coach is responsible for running the program within the scope of work outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

Qualifications: Background and experience coaching novice level through JO4 level divers Strong organizational, teaching and communication skills Ability to act professionally at all times

Licenses/Certifications: Current USA Diving Full Coach Membership CPR/First Aid; Safety Training for Coaches. Up to date background check

SUNY Potsdam – Part-time Diving Coach (Posted 7/30/14)

The Athletics Department at SUNY Potsdam is seeking a part-time Diving Coach to begin fall 2014. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer all aspects of running a men’s and women’s diving program at the Division III level including recruiting qualified student athletes. Bachelor’s Degree and competitive diving experience are required. College diving experience and Lifeguard and CPR certification desirable, but not required. University of Massachusetts Dartmouth – Part-time/Seasonal Diving Coach (posted 7/9/14)

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking a part-time/seasonal diving coach.  The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is located one hour south of Boston, 30 minutes east of Providence, Rhode Island and 40 minutes west of Cape Cod.  It is a Division III member of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic and Little East Conferences. The position is a salaried position. Responsibilities: Practice preparation, diving instruction and recruitment.  This is a part-time/seasonal position.   Opportunities available to run summer/ winter diving camps and to start a diving lesson program.

Qualifications: Experience as a competitive diver or coaching experience at a high school, club or college level is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The Marlins Diving Club in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced diving coach to join our coaching team. Candidates will be expected to work with all ages and levels of divers, help coordinate practices, travel to meets, and help with day-to-day operations. Applicants must have 2-3 years coaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree with a collegiate diving background. Belt experience is a plus. Pay will be based on experience.
