Get first aid and CPR certification.
In addition to completing the USA Diving safety and risk management course, you must have current certification in first aid and CPR. Browse the list of approved first aid and CPR providers. (While it’s not a prerequisite, getting first aid and CPR certification prior to taking the USA Diving safety and risk management course in step four can enhance the course experience.)
Please send copies of both sides of your current first aid and CPR certification cards, certificate or class record of addendum by email to Pam Majors, by fax to (317) 237-5257 or by mail to USA Diving, 132 E. Washington St., Suite 850, Indianapolis, IN 46204. These are the only three forms of documentation USA Diving can accept.
Please note that a coach will not be covered under USA Diving insurance as a coach if any of the certifications is expired.
