Study materials and required text.
All USA Diving coaches are required to take a safety and risk management exam and safety training course. Prior to taking the exam and class (which you will register for in Step 3), we suggest coaches review the following materials as a reference.
The following materials may be downloaded at no cost:
- USA Diving Safety Training Manual Update (2008) (this is required text for the course and a must for first-time participants as well as coaches who have taken the safety certification course before, as new material has been added)
- Study Resource for Safety & Risk Management Online Exam – Part One
- Study Resource for Safety & Risk Management Online Exam – Part Two
If you do not already have a copy of the USA Diving Safety Training Manual, Second Edition, you should purchase one now. This text (along with the free 2008 update) is required for the course and should be purchased prior to taking the online exam.
