USA Diving is pleased to announce that 24 divers have been selected to the Future Olympic Force and 23 divers have been named to the Junior Elite Squad for 2013. The Future Olympic Force and Junior Elite Squad are designed for talented junior divers who aspire to become members of the Olympic Performance Squad with the goal of competing in the 2016 and 2020 Olympics.

As part of being selected to these programs, divers may receive prequalification to designated competitions.

For 2013, the following prequalifications have been set:

2013 Junior National Events
Members of the Future Olympic Force, along with those on the Olympic Performance Squad and Senior Elite Squad, who are eligible for junior events will be prequalified for the preliminaries in any events they choose to enter at the 2013 Junior National Diving Championships. Should any of these prequalified divers choose to compete at a summer region or zone championship, they will not take a qualifying position from another diver. The qualifying spot will be given to the next placing diver.

There will be no prequalified divers to the 2013 East and West Championships.
Note: The top three divers in each individual event at the East and West Championships shall be prequalified to the 2013 Junior Nationals in the same event. If any of those top three finishers are already prequalified to the Junior Nationals based on being a member of the Future Olympic Force, the Olympic Performance Squad or Senior Elite Squad, no other diver finishing below third place will be considered for qualification to Junior Nationals.

2013 Junior Zone Events
Junior Elite Squad members will be prequalified for any events they choose to enter at the 2013 Junior Zone Championships at the zone of their choosing. Should any of these prequalified divers choose to compete at a summer region meet, they will not take a qualifying position from another diver. The qualifying spot will be given to the next placing diver. If a prequalified diver chooses to compete at regionals, the diver also must comply with USA Diving rule 125.3, which states that divers must compete at the zone championship tied to each corresponding region meet.
