USA Divers Win Five Medals at 2026 Canada Cup

Women's 10-meter synchro medalists on the podium at the 2026 Canada Cup of Diving

USA divers won five medals – including a pair of gold in synchronized diving events – at the Canada Cup, a World Aquatics recognized event held in Windsor, Ontario from April 9-12.

In all, the U.S. picked up two gold, one silver and two bronze. Bayleigh Cranford and Ella Roselli won the women’s 10-meter synchro gold, and Cranford added an individual 10-meter bronze. Max Flory and Collier Dyer won gold in men’s 3-meter synchro, with Bennett Greene taking silver in the individual men’s 3-meter event. Max Weinrich and Dash Glasberg rounded out the U.S. medalists with a bronze in men’s synchronized 10-meter.

Dyer and Flory paired up for 396.33 points for their 3-meter synchro gold. They capitalized on their difficulty, earning 88.92 points on a front 4 ½ tuck and 78.39 points on a front 2 ½ with three twists. No other teams in the contest performed either of those two high degree of difficulty dives. The German team of Tim Axer and Finn Awe took second with 377.79 points.

All four U.S. men’s individual 3-meter divers advanced to the final. Greene made his senior international debut and scored 442.75 points to pick up the 3-meter silver behind China’s Chengzan Liu, who won with 452.70 points. Greene finished out his list with 82.25 points on a reverse 1 ½ with 3 ½ twists and came through with 80.50 points on a reverse 3 ½ tuck in the third round.

Dyer scored 385.75 points to finish eighth in the final, with Weinrich scoring 375.15 for 10th and Flory placing 11th at 345.95.

Cranford won her first individual international medal after coming from behind to finish with 330.15 points for the women’s 10-meter bronze. She was in eighth place after three rounds but moved up to fifth with 74.25 points on a back 3 ½ tuck in the fourth round. She then hit her reverse 3 ½ tuck for 86.70 in the final round to grab the bronze medal. Canada’s Katelyn Fung and Lila Gokiert took gold and silver.  

Roselli also advanced to the individual final and scored 322.70 for fifth place, highlighted by an armstand double back with 1 ½ twists that earned 81.60 points. Earlier in the week, Mary Kate Cavanaugh placed 17th with 233.75 points, and Zara Ayazi scored 201.10 points to finish 21st on 10-meter 

Cranford and Roselli scored 290.76 to pick up the women’s 10-meter synchro gold, with silver going to Australia’s Laura Hingston and Lauren Flint at 278.10. The U.S. duo came through with 73.80 points on a front 3 ½ pike and closed out their list with 75.85 points on a back 2 ½ with 1 ½ twists.

Three U.S. women advanced to the individual 3-meter final. Margo O’Meara led the way with a fifth-place finish on 300.20 points. Sophie Verzyl finished seventh with 290.35 and Anna Kwong placed 10th with 277.70 points in the final. Earlier in the week, Charlotte Martinkus scored 229.80 to place 19th overall. China’s Yiping Long took gold with 347.55 points.

Verzyl and Kwong also teamed up to finish fourth with 275.28 points in the women’s synchronized 3-meter contest, which was won by Canada’s Mia Vallee and Amelie-Laura Jasmin at 288.81.

Weinrich and Dash Glasberg scored 371.94 points to take home the synchronized 10-meter bronze, with gold going to Germany’s Ole Rosler and Espen Prenzyna at 392.31.

Josh Hedberg and Drew Bennett qualified into the 10-meter finals, with Hedberg just missing the podium with 435.90 points for fourth. Bennett scored 384.20 points for seventh. Canada’s Benjamin Tessier led the field with 513. 10 points for gold. Derek Colbert also represented the U.S. on 10-meter and finished 15th with 278.10 points.

With the conclusion of the Canada Cup, Team USA’s focus now shifts to the American Cup, another World Aquatics recognized event set to take place April 15-19 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
