2026 Junior Worlds Day Two: USA Group A Boys Advance to 3M Finals, Synchro Girls Compete on Platform

The World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships continued Saturday with both U.S. boys advancing to the group A (16-18) 3-meter final and the girls in action in synchronized platform in Rijeka, Croatia.

Evan Kerim finished seventh and Mik Schwickert placed 11th in the boys group A 3-meter final. Kerim scored 471.70 points, with Schwickert finishing with 451.00 points. Germany’s Finn Awe won gold at 560.60, followed by Russia’s Matvei Pomoshnikov with 542.00 points for silver. Fiji’s Maori Pomeroy Farrell took bronze at 490.50.

Callie Fox and Sophia Narbut placed seventh with 243.12 points in girls synchronized platform. China’s Jiang Yuehan and Yuan Qingcheng scored 317.28 points for gold. Suri Cueva and Adriana Torres of Mexico came away with silver on 292.02 points, and the Russian team of Viktoriia Kazantseva and Aleksandra Kedrina finished with 283.20 points to pick up the bronze.

The World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships continue through August 28. Sunday’s competition features Kayla Jensen and Ava Jolley in the girls group A (16-18) 1-meter event and Pengxu Lor and Nathan Piotrowski in the boys group B (14-15) platform contest.
