2026 Junior Worlds Day Six: Three USA Divers Advance to Finals

The U.S. placed three divers in the finals on Wednesday at the World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia.

Ella Guo picked up her second eighth-place finish, this time on platform in girls group B (14-15). She had placed eighth on 1-meter earlier in the meet. Lindy Johnson joined Guo in the platform final and placed 12^th. Guo finished with 308.45 points, while Johnson scored 281.00. China took the top two spots as Yuan Qingcheng claimed gold at 404.35 and Jiang Yuehan scored 368.60 points for silver. Mexico’s Lia Cueva came away with bronze on 331.55 points.

Nash Salomon advanced to the boys group B (14-15) 3-meter final and scored 371.65 points for 11^th place. Nathan Piotrowski also competed on 3-meter and finished 14^th with 386.30 points. Russia’s Miroslav Kiselev took gold at 492.95, with Ian Nava of Mexico scoring 476.60 for silver. Hayden Brinckley of Australia captured bronze at 449.55.

The World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships continue through Friday. Guo competes again Thursday when she joins her sister Emma in the girls group B 3-meter event. Leyton Dean and Noah Stasik will also dive Thursday in the group A (16-18) boys platform contest.
