2026 Junior Worlds Day Seven: Guo Advances to Finals in a Third Event

Ella Guo advanced to the finals in all three individual events at the World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships as she wrapped up her week with ninth place on 3-meter in girls group B (14-15) competition on Thursday. She finished eighth on both 1-meter and platform earlier in the meet.

Guo scored 343.65 points, led by 57 points on an inward 2 ½ pike, in the 3-meter final. Mexico’s Mia Cueva finished with 391.45 points for gold, with silver going to China’s Chen X at 382.60. Lia Cueva of Mexico took bronze with 378.75.

Emma Guo just missed a spot in the 3-meter final, finishing with 318.40 points for 13^th place.

Also on Thursday, Leyton Dean just missed advancing in platform, as he placed 13^th with 436.90 points in the boys group A (16-18) platform preliminary. Noah Stasik finished 22^nd with 366.50 points.

The World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships wrap up Friday with Sophia Hoffman and Evelyn Wang in the girls group A (16-18) platform and Beck Gregory and Nash Salomon in the boys group B (14-15) 1-meter events.
