2026 Junior Worlds Day Eight: USA Wraps Up Championships with Three in Finals

Sophia Hoffman led the U.S. with a fourth-place finish on Friday, the final day of competition at the World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia.

Hoffman totaled 391.95 points the girls group A (16-18) platform final after placing eighth in the 3-meter final earlier in the week. Hoffman tallied 67.20 points on both her back 2 ½ tuck and inward 3 ½ tuck in the final. Russia’s Aleksandra Kedrina took gold with 418.15 points, while Australian divers finished in second and third. Maggie Grey scored 412.20 points to edge her teammate Kayla Davies by .8 points for the silver. USA’s Evelyn Wang scored 334.60 points for 14^th in the preliminary.

Beck Gregory and Nash Salomon both advanced to Friday’s boys group B (14-15) 1-meter final. Gregory placed eighth with 369.95 points, while Salomon scored 324.60 for 11^th. Rudi Bollman of Germany scored 425.80 for gold, and Mexico’s Ian Nava finished with 413.55 points for the silver. Mexico’s Miguel Sanchez rounded out the medalists with 409.10 points for bronze.
