U.S. Wins Eight Medals at Bolzano Diving Meeting

The U.S. won eight medals – four gold, one silver and three bronze – at the 2026 Bolzano Diving Meeting, a World Aquatics recognized competition held July 3-5 in Bolzano, Italy. 

U.S. divers picked up gold medals from Luke Sitz in men’s 3-meter, Quinn Henninger and Jack Ryan in men’s synchronized 3-meter, Josh Hedberg and Carson Tyler in men’s synchronized 10-meter and Margo O’Meara in women’s 1-meter. Ryan also claimed silver in mixed synchronized 3-meter with Sophie Verzyl. Tyler and Verzyl also won two medals, with both also winning an individual 3-meter bronze. Bayleigh Cranford rounded out the U.S. medalists with a women’s 10-meter individual bronze. 

Sitz scored 432.85 points to come away with the individual gold, with Tyler taking the bronze at 420.05. Henninger and Ryan paired up for the 3-meter synchro gold with 391.59 points. Henninger and Ryan also competed individually on 3-meter. Henninger placed 10^th in the prelim, but only two divers per country could advance to the 12-diver semifinal. Ryan placed 15^th in the prelim.  

Tyler added a second medal when he teamed up with Hedberg for gold in men’s 10-meter synchro with a score of 391.80. Hedberg also advanced to the individual men’s 10-meter final and scored 381.75 points for fourth. Drew Bennett finished seventh with 399.70 points in the semifinal, just missing a spot in the six-diver final. 

Cranford picked up her fourth individual 10-meter medal this year with a bronze medal in Bolzano as she finished with 284.60 points. Sophie McAfee scored 227.25 for 11^th in the 10-meter semifinal. Cranford also paired up with Ella Roselli for seventh place in the synchronized 10-meter contest.  
 
Verzyl won her third 3-meter medal of the year, scoring 294.20 points for bronze. Kyndal Knight also advanced to the women’s 3-meter final and finished sixth with 269.85 points. O’Meara placed 17^th in the preliminary, and Anna Kwong finished 18^th. Verzyl and Kwong placed fifth in women’s synchronized 3-meter. Verzyl also won a silver medal with Ryan in the mixed synchronized 3-meter event. O’Meara took the women’s 1-meter gold with 255.65 points.
