Krysta is the daughter of Mitch and Vicki Palmer, and she has one sibling, Devin...Her grandfather Norman Palmer was on the U.S. national ski team. ...Krysta did not start diving until age 20...She participated in gymnastics for seven years and trampoline for eight years prior to starting her diving career...She competed for the U.S. internationally in trampoline in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Russia...Injuries (torn patellar tendon in her left knee and torn ACL, MCL and LCL in right knee) restricted her from reaching her full potential and she has since switched to diving...She competed in her first senior nationals in 2015, and her favorite dive is 5154B...She says the hardest part about her training is keeping her legs strong. ...Krysta would describe herself as positive, vibrant and easy going...If Krysta could meet anyone, it would be Ellen DeGeneres ...A typical pre-competition meal for Krysta is eggs with some type of carbohydrate (toast, bagel, etc.) and some fruit...Krysta is a volunteer Assistant Diving Coach and Club Diving for University of Nevada, Reno and Nevada Diving...For the 2019 season, she is working with TeamV to benefit in weight training, sports psychology and medical recovery. Krysta's goals for 2019 include perform in her first World Series competition and to qualify for World Championships...Outside of competition, her favorite meal is a burrito.
