Son of Jim and Sheilagh Boudia...In October 2012, he married his wife, Sonnie...The couple has two daughters, Dakoda (2014) and Mila (2017) and one son Knox (2019)...David has two sisters, Shaila and Shauni...Released his first book, Greater than Gold: From Olympic Heartbreak to Ultimate Redemption (Nelson Books, 2016)...Has been diving since 2000...He learned under Olympic coach John Wingfield until he began he college career at Purdue in the fall of 2008...David's ultimate goal was to win an Olympic gold medal, which he accomplished at the London Games...Enjoys anything competitive (football, basketball and soccer), reading, video games, and hanging out with friends...Graduated with a degree in communications from Purdue in 2013

• Swept the three diving events at the 2009 and 2011 Big Ten Championships, becoming the first Big Ten diver to win all three events twice (he also won titles on 3-meter and platform in 2010)
