Tune into the FINA World Cup

Tune in this week as USA Diving Athletes compete in the 2021 FINA World Cup to take place in Tokyo, Japan May 1-6, 2021. Among the athletes are 2016 Olympians and team captains Kassidy Cook as well as Michael Hixon as well as newly crowned NCAA Div. 1 Champions Sarah Bacon, Andrew Capobianco and Brandon Loschiavo.

 

At this event, USA Diving will look to secure an additional five Olympic Spots after securing seven of the maximum 12 spots available at the 2019 FINA World Championships. The spots being sought after are two individual spots for the Women’s three-meter, as well as the Men’s and Women’s three-meter synchronized spots and the Men’s ten-meter synchronized spot.

 

“We are excited to be here in Tokyo and to be able to experience the Olympic Venue first-hand,” said USA Diving’s High-Performance Director, Dan Laak, “Our athletes have come to this event determined to represent their country and do their best to ensure we can send a full team back to Tokyo this summer. I am extremely proud of the focus and resolve our athletes have shown this week and am looking forward to seeing what we do throughout the competition.”
