Mission Viejo To Host 2023 Junior National Championships

USA Diving and the Mission Viejo Nadadores have announced the return of the USA Diving Junior National Championships to Southern California in 2023..

The competition and warmup dates are slated for July 24 – August 2, 2023, at the Marguerite Aquatic Complex. The facility was completely renovated in 2018 and is one of the most iconic facilities in the world of aquatics. The last time the event was held in Mission Viejo was 2007.

“We are thrilled to host this national event in Mission Viejo. It’s been more than 15 years since the junior nationals were held in California, and I’m confident the Nadadores will do a tremendous job as we welcome divers from across the country to Southern California,” said Lee Michaud, President of USA Diving. 

The competition will feature 600 of the top junior divers from across the country competing in three events and four age groups

The competition is the most prestigious junior event USA Diving hosts and is the culmination of region and zone championship qualifying.It serves as the competition to crown the best junior divers from across the country as junior national champions and determines the divers who will represent the United States at junior international meets.Divers ages 18 and under will compete in their respective age groups.
