Son of Julie and Shane Butler...He has three siblings, Devynn, Kate and Mallory...Jake enjoys skateboarding, traveling and reading...He taught himself how to juggle with rolled up socks...He began diving in 2013 after watching London 2012...He now trains three to four hours a day six days a week...Says the hardest part of his training is trying to keep up and train as hard as teammate Sarah Bacon, who is also his favorite diver...His favorite dive is 5337D on 3-meter...He has had four kidney surgeries and seven hand and wrist surgeries throughout his diving career...His first junior nationals was in 2015 and his first senior nationals was in 2018...Wants to work in criminal law after he's done diving
