Schnell and Young to Compete in Women’s 10-Meter Platform at Tokyo Olympics

Delaney Schnell and Katrina Young will compete in the preliminary round of the Women’s 10-Meter Platform competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Schnell and Young will dive 9th and 25th respectively in the field of 30 competitors.
Schnell competed earlier in the competition, earning Team USA’s first Olympic medal ever in the Women’s Synchronized 10-Meter Platform with Jessica Parratto. Young competed in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, having placed 13th. Both Schnell and Young qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games at the 2020 Olympic Team Trials- Diving placing first and second respectively in a heavily talented field.
Tomorrow’s competition will take place at 3pm Japan Time/2am EST and will be broadcast live on the USA Network as well as streamed on NBCOlympics.com
