Verzyl, Greene Capture Individual Gold on Day Three of Winter National Championships

Sophie Verzyl and Bennett Greene won the women’s 3-meter and men’s 1-meter titles on Sunday at the 2025 USA Diving Winter National Championships.

Verzyl, who also won the 3-meter title at the 2025 USA Diving National Championships, scored 593.30 points for gold. She capped her performance with 71.40 points on a front 2 ½ with two twists in the last round of the finals.

Margo O’Meara, who won gold on 1-meter on Saturday, took the 3-meter silver with 568.60 points. Kyndal Knight scored 565.05 points for bronze.

Greene won his first senior national title with 754.30 points, edging silver medalist Luke Sitz, who finished at 745.10. Nick Harris scored 718.60 points for bronze.

The USA Diving Winter National Championships continue through Tuesday. Sunday marked the conclusion of individual competition, with synchronized diving events set for Monday and Tuesday.
