Two High Diving Events Set For August 6-7 in Park City, Utah

USA Diving, in conjunction with the International High Diving Institute, will hold two high diving competitions in Park City, Utah from August 6-7.

The USA Junior High Dive Open will be held August 6-7 and will be used to select a team for the Junior World Championships, at which high diving is expected to be an exhibition event later this year.

The USA High Dive Challenge, a senior-level event, will take place August 7.

To participate in the USA Junior High Dive Open, divers must attend a pre-meet training camp on August 4-5 or participate in a mandatory safety session on August 5. Competition will be conducted in three age groups: A/17-19 (10-, 12.5- or 15-meter platforms), B/14-16 (10- or 12.5-meter platforms), and C/12-13 (7.5, 10- or 12.5-meter platforms). Selection for the Junior World Championships Exhibition will be for divers in the A and B age groups. In order to be considered for selection to the Junior World Championships Exhibition, Group A divers must compete all dives from 15-meters and Group B divers must compete all dives from 12.5-meters. Men participating in the USA High Dive Challenge may dive from the 20- or 27-meter platforms. Women may dive from the 15, 17.5- or 20-meter platforms. This event is invitation only. For more information on the USA High Dive Challenge, please click here.

August 6
USA Junior High Dive Open Preliminaries (two rounds) – 11 a.m.

August 7
USA Junior High Dive Open Finals (two rounds) – 1 p.m.

USA High Dive Challenge (three rounds) – 3 p.m.
