Important information about 2023 USA Diving National Championships now available

Important information, including the schedule, competition format and list of prequalified divers, about the 2023 USA Diving National Championships is now available and can be found here. Competition will be held May 17-24 in Morgantown, West Virginia. The meet will serve as the trials for the World Aquatics Championships and Pan American Games.

A qualifying meet for divers who are not prequalified to the national championships will be held May 16-18. Information on the qualifying competition can be found here.

Please note, the competition format for the USA Diving National Championships is different than previous championships and will be conducted in a format similar to next year’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

The Board of Directors has given approval for the USA Diving National Championships event format to be determined by the High Performance Director in consultation with the Committee for Competitive Excellence.

All other rules included in the current USA Diving rulebook (from 2019) will continue to remain in effect through the end of 2023 (aside from one additional change made in 2022 that allows international divers to advance to the junior zone championships). A working group is evaluating the full USA Diving rulebook to consider additional changes and to bring the rulebook up-to-date. More information about proposed rulebook changes will be shared with the membership later.
