James Lichtenstein and Kaylea Arnett Win Medals at High Diving World Cup

James Lichtenstein and Kaylea Arnett won medals on Sunday at the 2025 World Aquatics High Diving World Cup in Sardinia, Italy.
Lichtenstein finished on top of the podium in the men's 27-meter, earning his second gold medal of the summer. His 411.30 points narrowly beat Romanian Constantin Popovici's 406.20 points. Lichtenstein was in second place behind Gary Hunt of France going into the final round, but his score of 143.10 points on his final dive secured his win.
Carlos Gimeno of Spain took bronze with 399.75 points, and fellow American David Colturi finished seventh with 343.00 points.
On the women's side, Arnett secured the silver medal in the 20-meter, finishing with 324.45 points. Arnett finished behind the 2025 world champion, Rhiannan Iffland of Australia. Iffland scored 356.05 points. Canada's Molly Carlson rounded out the podium with 302.00.
The other American women had a strong showing with Lisa Faulkner finishing fourth (294.90), Meili Carpenter finishing seventh (261.65) and Maya Kelly finishing eleventh (249.30).
The U.S. led the medal count this weekend as the only country to win a medal in both the men's and women's events.
