Boardman Wins Silver at Junior Pan Am High Diving Championships

James Boardman won a silver medal in the first Junior Pan American High Diving Championships, held Sunday in Lima, Peru.

Boardman competed in the boys’ 14-16 age group, with divers competing from 10-meter and 15-meter. Boardman scored 292.65 points, second behind Canadian Charles-Antoine Labadie, who won with 300.60 points. USA’s Lawson Greenwald finished fourth with 205.82 points, and Rydan Russell scored 195.92 points for fifth.

The U.S. also had two high divers competing in the boys’ 17-19 age group, with all dives to be performed from 15-meters. Tommy Matheis scored 196.45 to finish seventh and Jacob Fisher was eighth at 175.51. Canadian Alex Tiaglei won gold with 294.93 points.
