U.S. divers won five medals – one gold, three silver and one bronze – at the Canada Cup of Diving, a World Aquatics recognized event held in Gatineau, Quebec, from June 5-8.

Collier Dyer and Kyndal Knight won individual silver medals in 3-meter competition, and the U.S. won three medals in synchronized events. Bailee Sturgill had a hand in two of those synchronized medals, winning gold with Katerina Hoffman in synchronized 10-meter and pairing with Lily Witte for silver in synchronized 3-meter. Nathaniel Grannis and Ivor Brown took bronze in men’s synchronized 3-meter.

Dyer made his international debut and finished with 385.65 points for the individual men’s 3-meter silver. He was in eighth place with two rounds to go but came through with 79.80 points on a front 4 ½ tuck and 78 points on a front 2 ½ with three twists to finish in second place. Canada’s Victor Povzner scored 416.20 for gold, with Korea’s Kang Minhyuk finishing with 379.40 for bronze. USA’s Max Miller scored 362.80 for fifth.

Knight scored 288.40 points to claim the women’s 3-meter silver medal. She was in third place with one round to go and scored 66 points on her final dive – a front 2 ½ with 1 ½ twists – to move ahead of Australia’s Natalie Phan, who took the bronze. Canada’s Margo Erlam scored 325.50 points for gold. Witte finished sixth with 264.20 points, and Sturgill took eighth at 255.30.

Witte and Sturgill paired together for 275.46 points and a silver medal in synchronized 3-meter. Erlam and Sonya Palkhivala scored 282.24 points for another gold medal for Canada. Team Australia took the bronze.
