Finals Heat Up on Day Nine of USA Diving Junior Nationals

Saturday marked the ninth day of competition in Mission Viejo. 


In the girls’ 14-15 1-meter final, Ava Jolley (Carolina Diving Academy) defended her title from last year, claiming the top spot once again with a score of 334.20. Alden Charette (Marlins Diving Club) followed with 311.75 to earn silver, and Ana Navarro (Germantown Academy Dive Club) secured bronze at 309.05 in a tight race for the podium. 


On the platform, the 16–18 girls took center stage with Katie Parker (Razorback Diving Academy) leading and earning gold with 388.75 points. Juliet Radich (Coral Springs Diving) finished second at 375.60, and Bianca Hutter (Team Texas Diving) rounded out the top three with 356.95. 


In the boys’ 14-15 1-meter event, Colby Novick (Carolina Diving Academy) posted 406.75 points to take home the national title. Defending 3-meter champion Cristiano Garcia (Montgomery Dive Club) earned silver with 389.95, and Nathan Piotrowski (West Florida Lightning Aquatics) placed third with 357.50. 


The boys’ 16-18 3-meter final featured an exceptional performance by Mason Mankey (Indiana International School of Diving), who scored 542.65 to secure gold. Gage Sprintz (East Valley Dive Club) earned silver with 505.95, while Friday’s 1-meter champion Gunnar Grubbs (Stanford Diving) followed closely with 503.75 for bronze. 


With just one day remaining, the 2025 Junior Nationals are set for an exciting finish as the country’s best young divers wrap up an action-packed week in Mission Viejo.
