Three Divers from Three Different Clubs Win Titles on Day One of Junior National Championships

Three divers from three different clubs won junior national titles on Friday, day one of the 2025 USA Diving Junior National Championships in Mission Viejo, Cali.
Alyssa Pechstein of Crown Valley Divers won the girls' 11 & under 3-meter gold. Brody Johnson of City of Midland finished first in the boys' 11 & under platform event, while Amir Owens of Montgomery Dive Club captured the gold in the boys’ 12-13 1-meter contest.
Kimber Macmaster (Northside Diving Academy) placed second in the girls' 3-meter event, scoring 209.20, followed by Milan Xing from Arrow Dive Club in third with 204.55.
Frank Li of Trojan Dive Club scored 202.65 for silver on boys’ platform, edging Haskell Fagan of YMCA Westside Silver Fins, who finished third with 190.70 points.
Russian Ivan Kliminov scored 327.55 points to finish first in the boys’ 1-meter contest, while Owens walked away with the national title as the top-finishing U.S. diver. Owens scored 322.35 points, with Owen Stebbins (Los Angeles Dive Club) finishing with 308.5 points for silver. Noah Lieberman (Montgomery Dive Club) took the bronze medal with 296.20 points.
The USA Diving Junior National Championships will continue on Saturday with 11 & under boys’ 3-meter, 11 & under girls' platform and 12-13 girls’ 1-meter.
