Titles and a Tribute: USA Diving Junior Nationals Continue in Mission Viejo

On the second day of the 2025 USA Diving Junior National Championships in Mission Viejo, California, national titles continued to be awarded across several age groups. The day also featured a memorable tribute during the Opening Ceremonies, as the Marguerite Aquatic Center dive well was officially renamed the “Dr. Ron O’Brien Dive Well” in honor of the legendary coach’s lasting legacy.
In the 11 & under girls’ platform, Milan Xing (Arrow Dive Club) claimed gold with 214.50 points. Crown Valley Divers diver Alyssa Pechstein secured silver (214.35), and Kinley May (Mission Viejo Nadadores) took bronze (208.05).
On the 11 & under boys’ 3-meter springboard, Brody Johnson (City of Midland) earned his second national title of the week with a winning score of 244.05. Ayden Parris (Long Island Divers) grabbed silver with 204.70, and Frank Li (Trojan Dive Club) followed with 201.85 for the bronze medal.
In the 12–13 girls’ 1-meter contest, Ellireese Niday (Unattached) topped the field with 303.05 points to take gold. Elle Jolley (Carolina Diving Academy) earned silver (254.00), and Katherine Mo (McCormick Divers) completed the podium with 252.75 for bronze.
The championships continue Sunday as divers compete in the girls’ platform, boys’ 1-meter and boys’ 3-meter.
