Tyler earns Bronze in 1-Meter on Third Day of Diving at the Junior Pan American Games

Carson Tyler (Moss Farms Diving) earned his second bronze medal of the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in the Men’s 1-Meter today. Tyler earned 379.35 points, securing the final podium spot behind Mexico’s Osmar Olvera Ibarra and Kevin Alexander Muñoz Heredia. His highest scoring dive was a Forward 1 ½ Somersaults 3 Twists Free, earning 7.5’s across the board for a total score of 69.75. Teammate, Jack Matthews (Miami Diving) also competed in the finals earning sixth place.

 

In the Women’s 10-Meter platform, Daryn Wright (Indiana International School of Diving) narrowly missed the podium ending the competition in fourth place. Teammate Kaylee Bishop (Coral Springs Diving) finished the day in seventh.

 

Competition concludes tomorrow with Joslyn Oakley (Carolina Diving Academy) and Emilie Moore (Coral Springs Diving) representing Team USA in the Women’s 3-Meter followed by the Men’s 10-Meter where Tyler will compete again joined by Joshua Hedberg (Indiana International School of Diving).
