More medals were awarded Saturday at the 2022 USA Diving U.S. Open Championships presented by Rocket Fizz at COM Aquatics in Midland, Texas.

Maxwell Weinrich (Dominion Dive Club) won the men’s 3-meter, and Nike Agunbiade (Unattached) claimed the women’s platform title.

The highest scoring dive of the men’s 3-meter contest came from Weinrich in the final round, when he scored 85.00 points on his forward 2 ½  somersaults with two twists pike. Weinrich's total score was 423.05. Silver went to Evan Moretti (New York Dive Club) with a score of 401.95, and Clayton Chaplin (Unattached) earned bronze with a score of 390.65.

In the women’s platform, Agunbiade maintained the lead throughout each round to win the event with a score of 305.60. Sophia McAfee (Purdue Diving) placed second with a score of 296.10, and Bayleigh Cranford (Triad Diving Academy), fresh off a junior national title on platform earlier in the week, was third with a score of 280.00.
