U.S. Divers Set for World Aquatics Championships with Olympic Qualifying at Stake

Eighteen divers are set to represent the U.S. at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, from July 14-22.

The competition will mark the first opportunity for countries to earn quota spots for next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.

The U.S. roster for diving includes eight Olympians, including Tokyo medalists and team captains Andrew Capobianco and Jessica Parratto. The team also includes Tokyo medalists Krysta Palmer and Delaney Schnell and Olympians Kassidy Cook, Tyler Downs, Hailey Hernandez and Brandon Loschiavo.

Two-time World Championships medalist Sarah Bacon returns to the World Championships for the third time, while Greg Duncan, Max Flory and Jordan Rzepka have also been to the World Championships.Making their World Championships debut will be Nike Agunbiade, Kaylee Bishop, Joslyn Oakley, Jack Ryan, Max Weinrich and Lyle Yost.
